New Beginings

The owner just acquired this place and has some good plans. In the mean time it is a work in progress. I have just started cross-dressing and had a negative experience with the first place I went, which has made me uncomfortable in the local area. Heights is the second place I have gone to and found it a very positive experience and the people very encouraging. I consider this a great place, especially if you are new.

Worst bar layout ever

January 2011 revision: The bar has since been remodeled and is MUCH more inviting and pleasant to spend time in. Apparently there is new management, there are also new bartenders, the place is a million times better now. Thought I should edit my original review and be fair. May 2010: Seriously, I've been to many bars in my life, and this has to be the dumbest bar layout I ever saw. It's a cavernous space where people walking in are going to feel like all eyes are upon them, but then the bar is sequestered off to the side with railings so it's difficult to get a drink. Just terrible. It needs to shut down, remodel, and re-open. It's a shame because the heights / NW side are full of gay people and a nice bar there would be well-patronized.

... BAD customer service!

Me and the boyfriend have been to this bar a good half dozen times and the bartenders and staff seem to say the same as JR's and SOBE: GO AWAY. I agree with the other reviewer, the bar is laid out in a VERY strange manner and although the sofa's are nice to sit in, there reallly is no room to get to the bar and buy a drink when the barflys nest after 10pm on a Friday night. Best to just continue to Montrose and hit our favorite bar: BRB!

Better remember to close your tab

The only reason I'll be going back is to make sure my account gets a $30 credit! I had 2 drinks there and left without closing my tab (it happens some times). The next morning I looked at my account and saw that they had charged my card $50. That's right, $50 for just 2 drinks. I'll be going back later today to speak with the manager or the owner - and you can bet I won't go back again! I would have been fine with a $2.00 tip, but no, this greedy ass has to go for the gold - so just remember if you do risk going to this place you better watch your tab!

Keep driving to Montrose

Not the best of places. Sorta same clientele as Ej's, but with more drugs.
