Houston - Roe at Risk Screening and Community Discussion

Please join The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, and Texas Freedom Network for a FREE screening of the Alliance for Justice’s award-winning 2013 First Monday video, Roe at Risk! The short documentary demonstrates the disturbing reality that 40 years after Roe v. Wade women across the country are seeing their reproductive rights slip away. Increasingly radical state laws: -Place impossible requirements on abortion providers -Compel women to undergo intrusive procedures -Drastically reduce the length of time during which abortion is legal -Grant fetuses “personhood” rights. The film highlights many Texas activists and reproductive justice organizations across the state. After the documentary, join us for an *open* community discussion facilitated NARAL Pro-Choice Texas Board Member, Shailey Gupta-Brietzke, and Lilith Fund Board Member, Amanda Williams. Movie snacks and drinks will be provided! NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, Lilith Fund, and TFN swag and t-shirts will be available for sale - cash or check only.
