Men visiting from out of town and single guys out to mingle. ABOUT RIPCORD RIPCORD is the second oldest gay bar in Texas and the state's oldest leather bar. Since 1980, the bar is respected as an iconic staple in the Montrose community, hosting a wide range of events. RIPCORD is a popular spot for various groups in the gay community, including Bears, Cubs, Daddy, Chaser, Twink, Leather, and Masculine Men. RIPCORD has the largest patio in the Montrose and is a great place to enjoy a beer or drink on a nice Houston evening. RIPCORD is open Monday thru Saturday (1pm - 2am), and Sunday (12pm - 2am). A patio entrance to Black Hawk Leather Shop is open Friday and Saturday (8pm - 2am) for your leather needs.
