Overview: This workshop provides an in-depth look at the relationship concerns shared by many gay men. The information is sophisticated and scientific, yet it is presented in a light-hearted fashion making for a rewarding and enjoyable weekend. The deeply insightful attention given to the private experience of being a gay man is unique to this workshop.
This weekend is rich in both practical information and skills which are presented in a warm, light-hearted, and engaging style. Tony is noted for his ability to make sophisticated psychological and scientific information relevant and applicable.
Testimonials from men who participated in this workshop previously:
"Developing from small children who are somehow 'different' into the adults we become, it is nearly inevitable that we will all face serious obstacles in how we relate to ourselves and to others as gay men - many such obstacles being largely invisible even to ourselves. I would venture to say that Tony's workshops border on mandatory for those with a sincere desire to experience relationships that are fulfilling, loving and lasting. "Informative" and "revelatory" are guaranteed..."transformative" is not out of the question either."
"Certainly I was not & am not alone. But, here is the thing, in the cold gray light of dawn, it was me, alone, no body to share the big & little things life offers"
"Who were the other guys & what did I have in common with them. What I realized was that really only one thing mattered, the commonality of being single gay men & didn’t necessarily want the single status"
"With the exercises and direction of Tony we looked at ourselves shared our life experiences, made a serious attempt at defining what we were looking for & what might be keeping us from getting what we want"
"The take away, a clarity & tools with which to attempt with some confidence to actually fix your life"
Just an update: “After each of us attended your workshop during separate weekends in early 1999, Mark and I later met at a social event. Your workshop helped each of us approach our new relationship with an understanding of what we each wanted and needed. It has been 15.5 happy years since then, and now we are planning to marry. Thanks Tony (and Bruce)!”
Michael and I are coming up to 15 years in November since meeting at Tony's workshop! So glad we went!
“The first day we talked relationships in general, relationship theory, and about the difference between initial attraction and long term potential. The second day was more practical focus on moving forward, how to find them, how to recognize what just won’t work long term, how to recognize areas that need to be addressed, and whether compatible or not. Very, very worth the time!”
