Pride Superstar® Auditions

Pride Superstar® is now in its 9th season and going strong! The WINNER will receive: * $1,000 CASH * $1,000 recording time @ Grammy winning studio * Ride in a convertible in Houston Pride Parade * Performance at Pride Festival * VIP Party with bottle service * and MORE If interested in auditioning for this year’s competition then follow these steps: * Bring a valid ID to the Audition to verify age * Come to the Audition prepared to sing 1 – 3 songs Acapella (no music accompaniment) * Bring your family and friends for support to the Audition Please note: Contestants must be on site and complete their application before the end of round one (1) auditions to be considered for this year's Audition. Must be 18+ to audition and compete. Up to 12 people will move on to the eight (8) week competition and battle it out in song to be this year's winner! Judges: Joey Guerra: Joey has been with Pride Superstar since its creation and is also the Entertainment Director for Pride Houston. He is the Houston Chronicle's music critic and writes on all aspects of pop culture, from local music to national shows to RuPaul's Drag Race. He appears weekly on FOX26 to recap American Idol. Tianna Hall: Tianna Hall is a full-time jazz vocalist and bandleader, performing regularly all over Houdston. She is also a professional session singer for some of the finest recording studios in Texas. Her five CD releases have garnered worldwide airplay. She is a lifelong LGBTQ advocate and ally.
