Mark Flood will sign copies of his exhibition catalogue "Mark Flood: Gratest Hits", hot off the presses! At 6:30pm, view the film Art Fair Fever, Mark Flood’s critical and satirical look at the contemporary art world and how art is viewed as a commodity in our culture. The film showcases many artworks that Flood created for the film. Admission is free and open to the public. A limited supply of catalogues and artist books featuring and by Mark Flood are available for purchase in the Museum Shop.
About Stephanie Mitchell
Stephanie Mitchell has worked in the arts for nearly fifteen years. As the Executive Director of Lawndale Art Center, Mitchell brings curatorial and development experience from institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art and The Drawing Center in New York City, as well as the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA, where she received her Master’s in the History of Art from Williams College. Before relocating to Houston with her husband, Mitchell co-directed the first online art fair, VIP Art Fair, and directed the curatorial and sales program at Leo Koenig, Inc., a contemporary art gallery in Manhattan’s Chelsea district.
