History: Recognition of Eagle Houston's Gay Archive

The Eagle Houston's Phoenix Room now provides a historic archive of the LGBT community. Opened just recently, the archive takes a look at decades of gay culture in Houston. Featured in the timeline artwork is the creation of The Diana Foundation founded on March 19, 1953. The Diana Foundation is recognized as the oldest continuously active gay organization in the United States and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. On November 30 from 5:30-8 p.m., the public is invited to a special celebration as The Diana Foundation honors Eagle Houston for their historic contribution. Cash bar will be provided.
