Houston Pride Band presents "War and Peace"

Houston Pride Band announces its second concert of the 2012-2013 season, entitled “War and Peace”. The free concert will be held at Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church (located at 2025 West 11th Street) on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 3:00 PM. Donations can be made at the door or by visiting http://www.houstonprideband.org.

War and Peace, black and white, life and death, laughter and tears: all examples of some of the many dichotomies that fill our lives. In this performance, witness the Houston Pride Band's tribute to this duality of existence, as opposing halves of the concert work together to make a “living dichotomy”, a unique experience for the listener.

The Houston Pride Band serves as a community band in Houston’s LGBT community and performs at various community events throughout the year as well as concerts and parades. The Houston Pride Band is open to all brass, woodwind, and percussion players and welcomes musicians of all skill levels.
