Zine Fest Houston is back again for another round of zines, prints, stickers, and so much more! Come swim in the ocean of self-publishing with us Saturday, October 4th at The Printing Museum from 2-8pm!

The Printing Museum is thrilled to be hosting, for the second year in a row, Zine Fest Houston 2014! More than 50 zinesters exhibiting their creative projects are expected to be at this year’s event. Programming scheduled during the day includes a panel discussion, lectures, raffles, zine workshops for kids and teens, bookbinding and letterpress demos by Lee Steiner and Travis Smith, and much more! This annual event is open to the public free of charge and all ages are welcome.
Celebrations will continue at the Zine Fest Houston after party/Zine Prom "Under the Zine" - be sure to wear your prom best! The event will start around 9pm, at The Summit (3536 Navigation Blvd., 77003) over in the Eastside and will feature performances by The Wiggins and Houston zinester Brandon Mahler aka DJ Knife Emoji, among others. Moderated by Maggie and Rob Block featuring Lena Melinger of Houston Anarchist Black Cross and Flyover Distro, Alex Wrekk of Stolen Sharpie Revolution, Portland Button Works and Brainscan, and Marie Brignac, writer and organizer with Texas Death Penalty Abolition Movement and Houston Anarchist Black Cross
We will also have zine workshops for kids and teens!

ABOUT ZINE FEST HOUSTON
Zine Fest Houston is a local non-profit organization and an annual event dedicated to promoting zines, mini-comics, and other forms of small press, alternative, underground DIY media and art. It is also a grassroots attempt to build the local zine, DIY and alternative media scenes and form networks with media creators in other areas. The goal of the event is for attendees to discover new zines and be inspired to create their own DIY art and media projects.
