The Museum Experience creates walkable “zones” to help visitors navigate through the area and experience the museums in a more personal way. On the last Saturday of January, April, July and September, each zone showcases a handful of museums at a time, complete with special programming, pedicabs in select zones and food trucks. The Museum Experience events happen during normal museum hours giving visitors ample time to explore without feeling rushed to make it to the next program. Visitors can simply walk or bike from one museum to the next venue in that quadrant. Although selected museums are featured in each zone, all museums in the District will be open regular hours. Visit http://houstonmuseumdistrict.org/meet-the-museums-of-zone-1/ for more information and contest details.
