A young, trendy, urban professional crowd fills this Houston standard both for happy hour and for nights out. The pool table, dancing, and video screens make for a great time, and the airy New Orleans-style patio is a great meetup place any time of the week.

if your from out of town stay away from this place its a total hole, and not in a good way. please go to guava, bayou city or crocker. you'll find your dollars strctch further there, and you'lll most likely have a better time.
This is party central
Busiest bar on Friday night. Caveat: busy is relative. It would be empty if the bar is in NYC or SF. I felt the cute bartender had a crush on me. Too bad I was only passing by and disnt have a place to myself. I would have tried to get to know him more. Two strippers: one hit one not.
pretentious place
JR's used to be an 'it' place and they still try to act like it is, but in fact, it is a bore. No place comfortable to sit and snooty queens-many of whom are too ugly to be snooty.
It is fun, sometimes
The karaoke (i think i spelled that right) is fun to listen to, but there are not many places to sit. The queens tend to either piss you off or leave you alone, but there is never an in between. If you don't have money or dress nice, you might as well be invisible.
Where the young cowboys are
I like the area, south beach, Blur, JR's, the mining co. all very hot clubs and a surprising scene for me. This club features two very large areas, three indoor bars, dancers, outdoor area and plenty of eye candy.
