The city's favorite bar
A young, trendy, urban professional crowd fills this Houston standard both for happy hour and for nights out. The pool table, dancing, and video screens make for a great time, and the airy New Orleans-style patio is a great meetup place any time of the week.

T for me tonight! Weee! I'm in Love!!
I met a gorgeous trans woman and we hit it off. She knew how to please me too and we watched adult movie at her place all night long as we held hands and more. Come by boys, you won't be disappointed!!!

This is a true neighborhood bar. Very friendly, diverse crowd. The patio area is great, even in the summer thanks to all the misters. It's probably a good thing I don't live in Houston--I would likely spend far too much time here.

      Spartan weekend (March)
This was the 1st establishment my friend took me to on saturday. This is a spacious bar with NO fance floor (bar, duh!). Outside patio is pretty big. I believe 3 areas inside. Drinks were reasonably priced. 21 and up only and no cover! Gogo boys ("str8") and are basic and wack! Each of the rooms played different music like country, dance and so on. I will skip this bar when i visit again Memorial weekend :)

      meh...
My job is nothing but travel so I wanted to be in a comfortable place. I tried JR's after a couple recommendations. Weak drinks and bartenders with attitude. I thought the crowd would be a little friendlier but nope. I was on the patio and some people asked to join me and I said yes. They told me I may wanna move because they planned on smoking next to me. This was a Tuesday so I didn't expect things to be too busy but I did expect more from this place. I took a 10min walk to F Bar and EVERYONE was a lot nicer, including the drinks. It would take a lot of arm twisting to visit JR's again...

Great friendly bar in Houston without the 'tude!
Been here many times, but get to know the bar and people who works there better when moved to Houston last July. They are great fun and nice, without the attitude you may expect at other bars! There are two bars back to back, facing a raised deck on one side and stage for karaokes on the other side. There's also a back bar with pool table (no charge!) :). Crowd a mix of guys (and some gals) of all ages, mostly whites and latinos, some asians. Some comes with attitude (usually twink WASPs) but generally most patrons are very laid back and quite friendly. This is a very good place to chill and have a nice drink with friends, both old an newly founds. The bar opens early around 3 PM daily; weekend last calls on 2 AM. Weekends tends to be quite crowded, since people hops around between here and South Beach dance club next door!

One of those bars everyone bitches about but everyone goes to
Most cities have this bar. You complain about it, but you end up there sooner or later. Like the multiple rooms, feels like Roscoe's in Chicago. Dancers are ok. Prefer to go here for drinks earlier in the night rather than end up here. And if you are up front you can see a constant stream of people coming and going. One of those one or two drink bars. Not sure why people would say it is a hole, it's a nice bar.
