Southern beau shows us how to have a good time below the Bible Belt
The Rip Cord - A long-time iconic leather bar in the center of the famous Gay Mecca Montrose-Houston area. Always familiar & fresh faces, & bodies, for your pleasures. A spacious patio provides privacy for your brief encounter, or even a break - if that's your thing. The handsome bartenders' generosity will sooth your rattled nerves, while keeping a friendly, watchful eye on your sobriety - he is indeed your good friend. Leather &/or denim is the preferred dress code, but come as you are & they'll "take care you", the Rip-Cord-Way. Long-time patron, GaryQVV

Bill Bernhard's desire
Coming out gay and being new to the scene I visited Ripcord and found it to be a nice place to meet guys wiling to show me the ropes so I recommend it to anyone visiting Houston and wanting to get into the scene you will not be disappointed.
Great leather bar in town
Ripcord is a great bar. Nice, chill atmosphere. The bartenders are great, if you get a chance, check out Christopher Barry, he's the best. They're always having events from guest djs, rewind to the 70s-00s, to leather, and they even host geeks who drink on Wednesday's at 830 pm.
They also host an art gallery which you can purchase.
Over the years this bar has vastly improved with awesome friendly staff and the upkeep.
Definitely worth checking out if you're into the leather scene and need a place to catch a few drinks.
HI EVERY BODY
HOPE TO FINALY SEE THE FAMOUS RIPCORD THIS WEAKND
Master moving to Houston
A nice place for a Master to take his slave/property
One word.... TIRED!!
Rude Bartenders, no personality and they could care less if you want a drink... Leave your personal baggage and crappy attitude at home!! People come out to have a good time and spend money. Which..on the good side, well its a hit and miss these days and the music..not so good... Re-staff and spruce it up.. people do look up at the ceilings...
