Local artist and DJ Stephanie Saint Sanchez will present a salute to 60’s bubblegum music and the lovey dovey groovy feelings they inspire. This is a curated short film showcase with assorted local filmmakers doing their own take on love in the style of this genre.
Each film will last from 3-8 minutes, and during the evening there will be bubblegum blowing contests, crowning of the bubblegum King or Queen, music, dancing and some VERY SPECIAL SUPRIZES!.

Is a by any means necessary Media Artist, Curator and instigator. Founder of La Chicana Laundry Pictures and The Texas based All Latina film festival Senorita Cinema. She likes to make movies, play records, host awesome events and believes above all, that love is a beautiful thang.

Iris Almaraz is a bad ass filmmaker from East L.A. with numerous international awards. Her feature Delusions of Grandeur was an official selection of The Senorita Cinema Film Festival.

Camilo Gonzalez works in Houston as an artist, educator and arts administrator of various mediums and practices. He has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in in Photography and Digital Media from the University of Houston and is the current Media Arts and Education Manager at Aurora Picture Show. His interests in film, video and electronic media has led him to work with various organizations like The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, The Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, The Menil Collection and other local institutions. He enjoys Twin Peaks marathons and grilling.

Harry J. Perales is a writer and filmmaker living in Houston, TX. He is the founder of The Merrye Family Cinema Association, previously responsible for film screenings at El Rincón Social and Domy Books (RIP), but not much else as of late. He is currently eagerly awaiting a domestic blu-ray release of "Phantom of the Paradise" to make his life whole.

When a young girl runs out of clean laundry, she is forced to wear her only non-dirty item of clothing: a black dress. Dressed in Black, her persona takes on that of the most melodramatic and maudlin songs of The Shangri-Las as she waits on the rest of her clothes to finish washing and drying... and that's called: BAD.
