What I like the most about GEORGE is that I don't need to pretend, and I don't need to wear fancy shirts or designer jeans to impress others.
This is a place where I feel at home.

New to town and was interested in finding a spot where I could meet new people watch a football game and enjoy a cold beer. Went two weeks ago to catch the Texans game the game was on the big screen TV but the music was so load you could not hear the game. As for the “friendly” staff I stood at the bar for 5 minutes and was not noticed. I guess if you want to watch a sporting event a gay “sports” bar is not the place to go..

George was THE bartender that made JR's great...obviously Charles it a stupid ignorant... Anyway, if you're looking for pretty pbys Gerorge is not the place to go. But, if you like a STIFF drink, and average men, you will love this dive!

Everybody knows George K, so the name of this bar is perfect!
I worked with him at jr's, and I can say that he is the ONLY bartender that people look for. People didn't come to the bar for the "atmosphere", or the "decor". No, it was because of George.
So, I'm glad you are doing great. It's no surprise, you treat every single person with respect, joy and zero attitude. And that makes you the best!
PS: Too bad the sexy argentinian barback is not working with you ;)

I like this place a lot! Being a regular though means people get to know you and can joke with you. However, the staff went too far last night saying I had been "involved" with someone who was sick and so fourth. This never happened and I was offended...a lot. I know a joke is a joke, but this wasn't funny. I am negative and will stay that way! However, I will still go here for good drinks and conversation.
