Barnaby's serves up delicious breakfasts, lunch, and pre-club casual dinners to a trendy crowd in Montrose. The Green Eggs are a local favorite, and there are plenty of vegetarian options.

Big variety of burgers, great salads (try the Salsalito Crunch), other great entrees like the lasagna, and my favorite meatloaf in the world! The original in Montrose is the gayest and greatest, but new locations in other nearby parts of town are great, too (and larger). Even with multiple locations, the food is consistently great - and the service is always friendly and casual. Branching outside of the gayborhood hasn't made Barnaby's abandon its very gay roots - the rainbows are still everywhere, proudly.
Wish we'd been able to try
Another reviewer said "usually a wait on weekends," to which I would add "and on weekday mornings, as well." We were rushed, so we did not get to try out the menu for ourselves, thus the neutral rating.
Can't go Wrong with Barnaby's
Whichever location you go to the food is always great and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Huge portions, great atmosphere, gay friendly staff, well priced. I always look forward to going to this restaurant when I eat here :)
Why Not?
Easy for breakfast, and the menu, while not seeming to have changed in 10 years (but how many ways are there to make french toast?) is still a good one for breakfast. Thankfully they have a good selection of pure carb breakfasts balanced with lowfat high-protein selections. Bacon is routinely somewhere between rubber and pemmican, so I try to avoid it, but their apple pork sausages are great. Good breakfast crowd to watch.
Awesome!
Baby Barnaby's and the original Barnabys (on Fairview) are both fantastic. The burgers are amazing, breakfast is great, the staff are fun and the prices are just right. Go for brunch after a night out and you will not be sorry!
