Great place for Happy Hour when you need a good stiff one!!
I recently had heard about Bayou CityBar thru a friend when the CRUZE partyvibe started up back in February. I attended on a Thursday for something different and believe me I got it. They have an awesome Happy Hour, and really good food too. Its a great place to get your evening started on Friday and Saturdays too. They have an awesome daliy specials thing going and a huge video screen playing some really bad ass videos. Fun place!! and 25cent wings on Thursdays... oh yeah, Tuck'd Tuesdays is a Super Good show the DRAG DIVA is Ailayah Crawford who also bartends is a Super Sweet Sexy on and off the stage...Want a Steak Dinner go on Wednesday.. Wow im horny and hungry now... LOL!

      Great party!
This down-to-earth, neighborhood place always has some sort of food or drink special. The wings are the bomb! I go on thurs for the cute latin boys and the 25 cent wings (it's their latin night). They play a wide selection of music - I even saw a country music video (Brad Paisley - HOT!) during the happy hour one day

      Coyote Ugly in Montrose
I've been going to Bayou for years now and love it. It's the only bar in the gayborhood that has a full kitchen/menu for happy hour (ask for Thom) and then becomes a dance bar at night. They do different music and specials every day/night, so it all depends on what you like. Certainly, 50 cent fridays gets way crazy. Saturday nights are more me....the DJ spins all video and the staff really is cool. I see a mix of everybody there. BTW, I noticed they just put in a stripper pole - hot damn!

      I can do without
This place use to be good! Now not so much. There are TONS of minors drinking which wouldnt be SUCH a big deal if they wouldnt get into fights all the time! Its gets PACKED on fridays and there is always at least 1 fight a night. Go for the cheap drinks skip the nasty bathroom and enjoy watching people get arrested. :)

A nice update to the aging Montrose scene. A friendly bar with awesome drink specials and a great variety of music....thanks for not playing the same beat all the time! I'm a regular now

      Are you serious
this place is a total eyesore for the area. Drug dealers in and out, total underage drinking. Youve got to be pretty lame to even enjoy 2 minutes there, oh and the friendly 'andy dick look a like manager' is a crystal meth freak.... damn enjoy it while it last.. come on authorities.. get cracking with these crackers

... it was great when it was ANITA'S ...
I went into Bayou City Grill, and like JR's the staff had the same attitude: GO AWAY. Questions about food ( we were used to the GREAT food that Anita Bump's had back when it was a drag bar ) led to a bartender tossing us a menu and stating the following: "...all we have is fried food tonight. Sorry." Uh, no thanks. The drink prices are expensive and now their is an entry fee! WTF. No thanks. Instead of going to this place, go to the Hollywood porn store in the same shopping center, buy some lube, porn and "VCR head cleaner" and head back to your hotel for fun. Someone ... PLEASE buy out Bayou City Bar and Grilll and bring back ANITA's! Please!
